Boeing is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to support the B-52J RMP Software team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to lead a team of software engineers in developing modernization and modification software for the B-52J, ensuring compliance with Boeing Software Best Practices and BDS requirements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with software development
- 3+ years of experience as the technical leader or manager of a software development or product deployment team
- In-depth knowledge of the entire SDLC process including software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps, etc.)
- Working knowledge of the Scale Agile Framework (SAFe) and Agile software development methodologies
- Experience with real-time embedded multiprocessor programs and/or user interface development programs
- Familiarity with DevOps practices such as continuous integration and continuous deployment, configuration management, security analysis and cloud computing
- Familiarity with developing commercial or military safety critical software (DO-178B/C, MIL-HDBK-516C)
Responsibilities
- Manages employees and performs oversight of first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Software Engineering
- Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on program business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products / product line management and processes
- Management and direction for software portions of Programs, Processes, Projects and other K-Level managers for Agile software teams
- Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics
- Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards over programs
- Manage, develop, and motivate employee
Other
- Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required
- Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%
