Rockstar Games is looking to hire a senior software engineer to join their Software Engineering Support team, focusing on growing their online platform and providing industry-leading game experiences. The role involves architecting and maintaining high-impact features, building services and tools, and ensuring the stability and quality of projects.
Requirements
- Experience with performance monitoring, logging and error tracking software.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with shared code and source control.
- Exposure to modern JavaScript/TypeScript, React and C.
- Experience with TeamCity or other build management tools.
Responsibilities
- Proactively diagnose and troubleshoot problems and escalate these within the teams you support. This may include fixing issues as appropriate.
- Add accurate context and reproduction steps to new and existing bug reports.
- Work with software engineers and QA to develop test plans to ensure projects are stable and have appropriate automated test coverage.
- Handle deployments and follow-up issues and test failures.
- Help teams improve observability, monitoring and debuggability of their products.
- Maintain robust documentation on processes and procedures.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge that can be used to guide and mentor juniors.
Other
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
- Excellent communication skills as a core member of an internationally based team, with a proven ability to develop and maintain good relations and communicate with team members at all levels.
- Must be inquisitive, self-driven and collaborative with a solid work ethic.
- Knowledge of Rockstar’s game titles and a passion for playing video games.
- This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan.
