The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Software Product Owner to support the FishTools team in engineering new solutions and supporting existing capabilities of an agile software program for the national intelligence community.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a Product Leadership, Product Operations, Product Management or Agile Project Management role
- 3+ years of experience with Agile software development lifecycle
- Solid background in Java and foundational knowledge of object-oriented design and software patterns (5+ years of experience)
- Experience using dependency management (Ivy, Maven, Gradle)
- Experience developing and maintaining SOAP, RMI, REST APIs and interfaces
- Experience using cloud-based infrastructure (AWS)
- Knowledge of Git or other DVCS; experience using automation server (Jenkins)
Responsibilities
- Analyzing high level customer requirements and deriving lower-level functional requirements.
- Leading/planning software development tasks including detailed software design, coding, and unit/integration/functional/system testing of customer desired features/user stories, ensuring successful achievement of acceptance criteria.
- Develop and sustain new and existing applications; as well as troubleshoot and resolve various software issues.
- Contribute to the creation of new distributed components and interactions that align with the future system architecture.
- Effective use of Atlassian Products (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Crucible, etc.)
- Knowledge of project planning processes and tools (i.e., project management software) to define, design, and plan projects, achieve project deliverables, optimize the contributions of internal and external resources, and accomplish desired business results.
- Customer/stakeholder presentation and reporting skills. Briefing software designs and demonstrating software release functionality to customer/stakeholders/end users.

- Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance. (US Citizenship is required)
- 10% travel required
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
