Edge Autonomy is seeking a Software Quality Engineer III to ensure the highest level of software quality and reliability for their software products, establishing and enforcing quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience in developing and executing test plans for complex software applications.
- Experience with SQA of both Application and Embedded Real-Time software preferred
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Experience building test automation frameworks and writing automation test scripts using languages such as Python, Java, or similar
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with Git, Jira, and modern defect tracking/version control tools
- Experience with defense contracts is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including functional, regression, integration and performance testing, to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate tools and methodologies. Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and resolve defects.
- Work closely with software development teams to understand requirements, provide feedback on software design, and ensure that quality is built into the development process.
- Prepare and maintain clear and concise documentation for test plans, test cases, test results, and quality assurance processes.
- Support configuration management efforts and maintain traceability of software builds, test artifacts, and defect resolution.
- Coordinate with Systems and Embedded Engineering teams to ensure software validation meets both application-level and platform-level requirements.
- Ensure compliance with internal process requirements and applicable regulatory standards where relevant (e.g., DO-178C, ISO, CMMI).

- 6+ years of related software quality experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software products.
- Strong engineering analysis skills, as well as data analysis and reporting.
