Workiva is looking to hire a Senior Software Quality Engineer to ensure product quality and address test failures through root cause analysis, while also championing quality practices that prioritize customer needs.
Requirements
- Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (e.g. Dart, Python, Go, Java, JavaScript)
- Expertise with automated testing tools (e.g. Puppeteer, Selenium)
- Experience with Docker or other container systems
- Expertise with web-based software products
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tooling (e.g. Jenkins)
- Experience with industry standard Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO, Six-Sigma, TQM)
- Experience with industry standard software development processes (e.g. Behavior Driven Development (BDD), Test Driven Development (TDD))
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain automated tests (functional, performance, reliability) to ensure product quality and address test failures through root cause analysis.
- Lead collaboration across product teams and stakeholders to identify, diagnose, and resolve quality issues in development and production.
- Guide the team in creating comprehensive test plans and processes, aligning with quality metrics and continuous improvement goals.
- Provide quality-focused input during planning, estimation, and code reviews, ensuring test coverage and efficiency.
- Mentor engineers and interns in test automation, quality methods, and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Advocate for and drive cross-organizational quality initiatives, influencing system-wide improvements within the development lifecycle.
