STR's Systems Development Division (SDD) and Analytics and Command & Control (AC2) focuses on developing advanced technology solutions to provide asymmetric advantages within the information domain. SDD executes the entire lifecycle of the solution, from conceptualization and architecture refinement through implementation and deployment, while leveraging novel technologies to deliver first-of-a-kind systems. Current efforts include programs for airborne and space sensors and advanced operations enabled by multi-function, multi-modal capabilities. In this role you will be exposed to key operations, users, and technology that have strategic impact on AF operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Integration and Test Engineer, with a focus on Java applications
- Strong knowledge of Java, third-party software frameworks, and related technologies (e.g., Spring)
- Demonstrated expertise in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) including the use of GitLab, CI/CD tools, automated testing frameworks, and code quality tools in software development processes
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG, Selenium)
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
- Comfortable working with Java and high-level programming languages
Responsibilities
- Participate in test planning & test events, requirements reviews, code reviews, and architecture/software implementation reviews to improve code quality and maintainability
- Perform integration testing to ensure seamless interaction between different system components
- Conduct performance testing to ensure the system meets performance and scalability requirements
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues, and work with the development team to resolve them
- Assist in configuration and maintenance of DevOps environments & pipelines at multiple classification levels, focusing on developer productivity, application performance, security monitoring, and alerting
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure infrastructure toolsets are configured, maintained, and reliable, in compliance with program requirements and Government standards
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports

- The position requires an active Top Secret TS/SSBI security clearance* (with SCI eligibility) with the ability to obtain SAP clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by the U.S. Government.
- Prior experience working SAP programs is required
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field with 5+ years of related experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
