Rocket Lab is looking to expand its business development efforts for its space software products by hiring a Senior Space Software Sales Engineer who can bridge the gap between customers and internal engineering/management teams, drive new business, and contribute to the company's growth in the space industry.
Requirements
- Experience developing software for autonomous vehicles operating in harsh environments, such as satellites
- Experience with satellite operations
- Proficiency in C++, Python or similar programming languages
- Practiced with the use of customer relationship management software
Responsibilities
- Work with the engineering team to provide technical support to customers
- Develop interactive product demonstrations of Rocket Lab’s space software products
- Generate proposals for new business opportunities in collaboration with the business development and engineering teams
- Lead efforts to attract new business to the company’s established products
- Work with the business development team to monitor business performance, forecast demand, and present to the Finance and Executive teams
- Collaborate with the Communications and Business Development teams in generating marketing materials
- Lead efforts to improve and standardize customer-facing product technical documentation
Other
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline
- 5+ years of professional experience in an engineering role within the aerospace industry (for I level)
- 8+ years of professional experience in an engineering role within the aerospace industry (for II level)
- Highly organized and able to solve problems independently, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members having diverse skillsets and expertise
