L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and secure infrastructure aligned with DoD Collateral requirements, DISA STIGs, NIST RMF, and FIPS compliance standards while enabling mission-critical operations.
Requirements
- Deep technical proficiency with Linux (Ubuntu/Red Hat) and Windows Server operating systems, including hardening, patching, and performance optimization in classified environments.
- Proven leadership in architecting, deploying, and securing enterprise network infrastructures, with strong understanding of Cisco, Juniper, and cross-domain networking protocols.
- Expert-level knowledge of virtualization (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V) and containerization technologies, including secure deployment within mission-critical systems.
- Advanced proficiency with enterprise security and compliance tools including ACAS (Nessus), STIGViewer, SCAP, and Splunk, with the ability to analyze outputs and drive remediation.
- Extensive background as a Linux System Administrator in secure, classified environments, with expertise in hardening, automation, and lifecycle sustainment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal and defense cybersecurity requirements, including NISPOM, DAAPM, JSIG, ICDs, and associated compliance frameworks.
- Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, RHCSE, or equivalent senior-level credentials.
Responsibilities
- Engineer and oversee administration of Linux (Ubuntu/Red Hat) and Windows Server enterprise environments, ensuring mission-critical uptime and compliance in classified domains.
- Architect, configure, and direct operations of Cisco and Juniper networking equipment within classified/air-gapped networks, ensuring strict adherence to 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), DAAPM, JSIG, NIST standards, and CCRI readiness.
- Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of VMware ESXi infrastructures, including migrations from bare metal to virtualized environments.
- Manage and safeguard NetApp storage solutions, ensuring data integrity, continuity of operations, and secure handling of classified data.
- Implement and govern enterprise Splunk platforms for centralized logging, monitoring, and compliance reporting, aligning outputs with DCSA and DoD audit requirements.
- Oversee audit and incident response by reviewing electronic and manual logs, investigating anomalies, and directing remediation of identified security incidents.
- Conduct and validate enterprise vulnerability management through Nessus scanning, application of DISA STIGs, and enforcement of FIPS-validated cryptography.

- Maintain eligibility and clearance standards by holding a current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret post-hire
- Collaborate with senior security leadership (ISSM, FSO, Program Managers) to ensure continuous system compliance and readiness for government assessment.
- Superior communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to brief senior leadership, government assessors, and cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to operate independently while mentoring and collaborating across technical and security teams to achieve enterprise-wide objectives.
- Active Secret clearance required; ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret / SCI clearance post-hire.
