L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist, Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure suppliers deliver components that meet all requirements for various projects in the Space & Sensor business.
Requirements
- Understanding applicable quality standards such as AS9100, ISO9001, NADCAP
- Experience with problem-solving tools (8D, 5-Why, Value Stream Mapping, CAPA) and quality tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Gage R&R)
- Experienced in auditing Quality Management Systems at suppliers
- Lean Manufacturing and 6-Sigma/OpEx Green Belt Certification
- ASQ Certifications
- Experience with J-STD Workmanship, ANSI J-Standards (Class 3) and IPC Workmanship Standards (Class 3)
- Experience with Teamcenter and TipQA
Responsibilities
- Manufacturability assessments of new and/or critical products
- Leverage direct manufacturing experience to develop suppliers and ensure new and existing suppliers are capable of meeting contract requirements
- Monitor and manage a portfolio of suppliers to continuously improve supplier performance KPIs in Quality and On-Time-Delivery, while minimizing Cost of Poor Quality
- Review and approve PPAP, APQP, and FAIR packages from suppliers
- Early detection and resolution of nonconformances
- Apply effective interpretation and application of Quality Standards, such as AS9100, ISO-9001, NADCAP, J-STD, IPC standards, etc.
- Support the new supplier selection process, providing technical input and expertise

- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
- Travel of up to 40% domestically
- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of Supplier Quality Engineering experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
