CNN Digital is looking for a Senior Staff Product Manager to lead the vision and execution of their Video Advertising Products, aiming to shape the future of video monetization across CNN's digital platforms by delivering premium, innovative, and revenue-optimized ad solutions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, requirement to have video and advertising product management experience
  • Deep understanding and experience in the digital video ad ecosystem – programmatic video, viewability, ad serving
  • Ability to ensure CNN is leveraging the lastest ad technologies.
  • For example - server-side ad insertion (SSAI), dynamic ad decisioning, contextual and addressable ads, shoppable video, and new formats like pause ads or interactive overlays.
  • Proven success managing highly matrixed, complex product areas with multiple stakeholders, integrations, and cross-functional teams
  • Best-in-class strategic thinking and the ability to translate business goals into actionable product plans (road mapping and key result planning)
  • Analytical mindset

Responsibilities

  • Develop the video ad product roadmap across web, app, and CTV.
  • Identify high impact opportunities based on monetization and business needs, and translate opportunities into clear, prioritized, actionable product requirements.
  • Draft concise product briefs and product specs.
  • Draft user stories, partner with app/CTV/web teams, and work closely with video and ad tech engineering team to ensure that they understand product requirements throughout implementation.
  • Deep experience within the video tech and ad serving ecosystem (i.e. Freewheel).
  • Ability to ensure CNN is leveraging the lastest ad technologies.
  • Partner with CNN leaders to define a video experimentation approach around our video ad experience.
