The partner company is looking to hire a Senior Staff Software Engineer to shape and lead backend development efforts, delivering scalable and robust solutions that directly affect user experiences and product innovation. This role will work on both new and legacy systems, collaborating across teams to design and implement high-quality software solutions, influence architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and drive strategic initiatives that enhance system reliability and performance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software development, with demonstrated IC leadership experience.
- Expertise in distributed systems design and trade-off analysis for complex architectures.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, with knowledge of multiple languages (e.g., Kotlin, C).
- Experience managing multiple critical technical initiatives concurrently.
- Strong familiarity with clean architecture principles and various data storage solutions, including relational and document databases.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend services and microservice integrations via REST/gRPC APIs.
- Architect, re-architect, and optimize complex systems, balancing performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to senior and junior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and best practices.
- Drive technical initiatives, plan roadmaps, manage project timelines, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure code quality, testing standards, and operational reliability of deployed systems.
- Contribute to defining technical direction and strategic decisions across engineering teams.
