Google needs software engineers to develop next-generation technologies that can handle information at massive scale and extend beyond web search, specifically for the One Fleet Capacity Planning (OFCP) team
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in software development
- 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products
- Understanding of AI/ML frameworks
- Experience in building systems for capacity planning or supply chain
- Experience with information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions
- Manage technical project plans and break up problems into smaller sub-problems that are tractable
- Set technical strategy and direction across the demand forecasting and planning space
- Drive alignment across Engineering teams and partner organizations
- Lead design and code reviews
Other
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (preferred)
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction (preferred)
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects (preferred)
- Ability to work in Sunnyvale, CA, USA or Seattle, WA, USA
