Google Security Operations (Google SecOps or Chronicle Security) aims to help customers discover and stop cyber attacks before they cause harm by leveraging expertise in global-scale threat intelligence, large-scale cloud computing, big data, and AI. The goal is to enable customers, partners, and government entities to understand and solve their most significant security issues and transform their security operations.

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
  • Experience developing/launching products/technologies within databases, analytics, streaming analytics or a related area.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of Risk based analytics and advanced ML based anomaly detection (UEBA) capabilities.
  • Design, lead, build and launch critical solutions from the ground up.
  • Manage safe rollouts across our global customer base.
  • Identify and implement architecture improvements that make our platform simpler, and more scalable to unleash the full potential of our customers’ data.
  • Drive architectural improvements for tighter integration between Google Threat Intelligence (GTI) and SecOps to realize our goal of an intel driven SecOps product.
  • Leverage expertise in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) products to understand customer pain points, propose solutions, build and deliver projects while working closely with product/customers to incorporate feedback.

  • Mentor and develop other team members.
  • Write documentation, conduct code reviews, and share knowledge with other engineers.
