Gilead is looking to develop and optimize software systems to facilitate scientific workflows and improve the efficiency of research and development processes.
Requirements
- Some experience in the laboratory or programming languages in a language such as C
- Experience of programming in C
- Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
- Problem Solving: Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
- Discretion/ Latitude: Works under limited supervision. Follows established procedures.
- Reviews the work of others for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy.
- An ability to manage, develop, and improve processes and operations with software.
Responsibilities
- Develop new applications with limited guidance.
- Will design the architecture of software to fit within and integrate within the existing ecosystem.
- Will work with scientists to determine important features of software that will facilitate scientific workflows.
- Will work with scientific staff to understand and optimize the scientific workflow to be used with the software developed.
- Will work with research and IT partners to ensure a framework for support and training is in place.
- Will prepare program-level and user-level documentation.
- Identifies and documents business processes.
