The company's Manufacturing Division needs statistical expertise for data analysis and evaluation to meet business needs, including experimental design, data interpretation, and regulatory submissions.
Requirements
- Excellent statistical computing skills with substantial experience in at least two of the following statistical software packages: SAS, S‑Plus/R, JMP, Minitab.
- Coursework and/or experience should include industrial statistics (DOE, SPC, regression, general linear models, and multivariate methods, computer programming).
- Ability to think originally and imaginatively in developing creative solutions in completing projects.

Responsibilities
- Performs basic statistical analyses such as ANOVA models, process capability and control, linear regression, ANCOVA for stability studies.
- Generates a wide variety of statistical graphics adapted to the need of the statistical project.
- Independently applies basic and advanced statistical techniques and graphics and recognizes the need for more sophisticated methods.
- Develops or adapts sophisticated techniques to meet the needs of specific projects.
- Independently writes or adapts basic statistical programs to perform analyses and to create graphics.
- Independently performs simulations (e.g. Monte Carlo techniques).
- Proposes design of experiments and analysis plans through consultation with our Manufacturing Division's personnel and teams.
Other
- Under the general supervision of a senior staff member in Center for Mathematical Sciences (CMS), the incumbent is responsible for the statistical analysis and evaluation of data to meet the needs of our company’s Manufacturing Division.
- Mentors junior staff members in the application of basic and advanced methods and graphics.
- With experience, prepares and conducts training courses and seminars throughout our Manufacturing Division to familiarize scientists and management personnel in the understanding of statistical techniques and methods.
