L3Harris Technologies is seeking to improve supplier quality engineering support for various projects in the Space & Sensor business, ensuring suppliers deliver PWBs and electronic components that meet all requirements.
Requirements
- Understanding of applicable quality standards such as AS9100, J-STD, IPC Standards
- Experience with problem-solving tools (8D, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, CAPA) and quality tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Gage R&R)
- High knowledge of PWB and coupon design, fabrication and PWB vendor oversight
- Experienced in auditing Quality Management Systems at suppliers
- Knowledge of CCA processes
- J-STD-001, IPC600, IPC610, IPC620, IPC6010 series certification
Responsibilities
- Manufacturability assessments of new and/or critical products
- Leverage direct manufacturing experience to develop suppliers and ensure new and existing suppliers are capable of meeting contract requirements
- Monitor and manage a portfolio of suppliers (PWBs, Electronic Components, Wiring, CCAs) to continuously improve supplier performance KPIs in Quality and On-Time-Delivery, while minimizing Cost of Poor Quality
- Review and approve PPAP, APQP, and FAIR packages from suppliers
- Early detection and resolution of nonconformances
- Apply effective interpretation and application of Quality Standards, such as AS9100, ISO-9001, J-Stds, IPC standards, etc.
Other
- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of Quality Engineering experience or a minimum of 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- Must be a United States Citizen
- Ability to obtain DoD Clearance
- Travel up to 40% domestically
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
