Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to improve suppliers' short- and long-term performance, ensuring compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements, and driving product and process improvements to meet value stream quality metric goals.
Requirements
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles (Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement programs)
- Demonstrated experience with New Product Development (NPD) to include responsibility for creating and improving products to meet customer needs and market demands
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities
- Assess part issues and guide solutions through Real-Time Problem Resolution (RTPR) to meet production throughput, on-time delivery, quality, customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Ensure supplier compliance to company, customer, regulatory, procedures and requirements through managing contractual flow downs, T&Cs and PO reviews.
- Lead supplier performance metrics, supplier RCCAs, perform supplier TRUS events and perform supplier assessments working with ESA, MCL, Eng. and Program Leadership to prevent recurrence and ensure timely execution of program and customer requirements.
- Lead/drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives (PFMEA, control Plans, SPC, etc.) using baseline metrics and future demand; baseline factory metrics (Scrap, Rework, FPY, etc.), identify top drivers, forecast future demand for top drivers, and identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
- Implement and maintain the site Quality metrics for aged QNs supporting MRB strategies and initiatives in accordance with current quality standards, reporting on the performance of the quality system for review and improvements.
- Support suppliers to establish system which supports data integrity, accessibility, and procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and safety.
- Responsible for the day-to-day quality deliverables and initiatives from suppliers (C of C review, FAIs, MRB, shipment data packages, root cause and investigation, calibration, tooling inspection, non-conformance control and documentation).

- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and minimum 8 years’ experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or closely related industrial environment OR a Master's degree and 5 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or closely related industrial environment
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Up to 50% travel
- Through leadership and effective communication, develop and drive the tactical execution of supplier performance.
- Support site safety initiatives through participating in Environmental, Health & Safety assessments, reviews and RIDIIs.
