Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to oversee and manage the quality performance of suppliers, ensuring products and materials meet stringent quality standards and driving continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001), and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience with supplier assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in quality tools and software (e.g., Minitab, Quality Management Systems).
- Certification in quality engineering (e.g., CQE, CQA) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct supplier assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities with suppliers to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement quality improvement plans and initiatives.
- Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics, including quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and manufacturing, to address supplier-related quality issues.
- Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers to ensure understanding and adherence to quality requirements.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field and minimum 10 years experience in supplier quality engineering or a related role, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
