Deloitte Customer team is seeking a System Architect to provide architectural direction and governance across multiple initiatives, ensuring technical solutions are innovative, secure, scalable, and aligned with long-term enterprise goals, while converting business objectives into robust architectural designs.
Requirements
- 15+ years of overall IT experience, with a strong focus on enterprise software development and architecture.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in architecting solutions using Java EE, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- Extensive experience with microservices, REST APIs, and cloud-native design patterns.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation initiatives, including legacy modernization.
- Strong technical breadth, with understanding of both infrastructure and application layers.
- Proven experience influencing technical strategy and driving the execution of cross-functional initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of complex enterprise applications leveraging Java EE, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- Deliver high-level architecture and design artifacts, guiding the engineering teams from concept to implementation
- Oversee integration of legacy systems with modern architectures, driving digital transformation efforts.
- Influence and shape the overall technical strategy across cross-functional teams
- Provide governance and review of solution architectures to ensure alignment with enterprise goals.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams in build-it/run-it models to ensure maintainability and operational resilience.
- Mentor and guide development teams, fostering architectural consistency and best practices.

- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including executive and senior leadership.
- Experience working in Agile/iterative delivery environments, preferably with exposure to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to travel 0 - 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
