Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of operating systems
- Advanced knowledge of databases
- Advanced knowledge of vendor-specific development languages or environments
- Advanced knowledge of the system(s) administered and the inter-relationships between application code and server operating systems and desktop operating systems
- Advanced knowledge of hardware and software as used in the clinical and/or business setting
- Knowledge of clinical device or other ancillary device integration solutions
- Experience with application development and support
Responsibilities
- Designs, configures, installs, and supports complex clinical device or other ancillary device integration solutions
- Identifies how requirements and designs will affect multiple application areas and recommends solutions for those areas to comply with strategic direction
- Develops workstation and server administration procedures
- Ensures capacity monitoring processes are followed and initiates corrective activities
- Ensures quality assurance processes are followed and initiates corrective actions
- Analyzes business requirements and creates technical requirements to meet their needs
- Designs complex application support software such as utility programs, macros, subroutines, and control modules from detailed specifications
Other
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or related field
- Typically requires 5 years in application development and support
- Demonstrated negotiation and facilitation skills and ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical clients
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, set appropriate priorities and accomplish assignments in a thorough and timely manner
- Must have ability to perform related travel and therefore may be exposed to road and weather hazards
