Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer / Scrum Master to join their Embedded Communications team. The role is focused on providing secure, technologically advanced equipment to defense personnel, ensuring they have a competitive edge. The Scrum Master will be responsible for the agility and execution of their Scrum Team, managing risks and dependencies, and driving continuous improvement in the development of next-generation security-enabled mission computing, crypto, and cross-domain technologies.
Requirements
- Experience with the systems development process, including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, verification/validation.
- Previous experience as a Scrum Master or a similar agile role
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience with tools such as DOORS, MBSE Cameo or similar, and others to support DevSecOps pipelines.
- Strong understanding of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate a Systems Engineering Scrum Team through Design and Development efforts
- Interface with multiple Hardware and Software Scrum Teams to work through dependencies and technical challenges
- Take responsibility for Scrum Team’s execution against commitments
- Work closely with the Product Owner to prioritize and manage tasking in support of sprint execution.
- Monitor and assess project issues, escalates when necessary, and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives
- Assist the Engineering Scrum Team to remove blockers, hurdles, and other impediments in order to increase efficiency of engineering performance.
- Ensure scrum team compliance with Agile Release Train (ART) operating norms and best practices.

- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- DoD Clearance: Secret
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- Exceptionally strong communication skills, experience presenting technical data to program management and executive leadership
