The NiagaraFiles project is looking to solve the problem of agency T&D (transfer and decommission) efforts which impact the NiFi team, and requires a Systems Engineer to help with dataflow requirements and modernization efforts.
Requirements
- Experienced with Mission Systems
- Experienced in performing Transfer & Decommission efforts of legacy to new systems
- Experienced working with mission data formats
- Experienced with reviewing and processing, or creating Dataflow Management Requests, DMRs
- Experienced with Apache NiFi functionality and building DataFlows
- Experienced managing analytical needs and requirements
- Experienced in creating Systems Architectural Diagrams depicting software and system functions
Responsibilities
- review DMR's and assist in Engineering the final dataflow solutions
- participate in dataflow modernization efforts migrating current flows on hardware to the virtual cloud environment
- evaluating the dataflow, building out requirements, then working with Operations team members in rebuilding the dataflows in the new cloud architecture
- work with the NiFi development team in clarifying any special data processing requirements as needed when code enhancements are requested
- assist in Engineering the final dataflow solutions the Operations team then implements
- migrating current flows on hardware to the virtual cloud environment
- rebuilding the dataflows in the new cloud architecture
Other
- Twenty (20) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required
- Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph required
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
