Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer to support the technology CCIBT Platform Engineering Group, specifically the platform for Observability & Reliability Engineering, to enable production support teams of multiple critical applications.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years' experience in DevOps, with focus on Java based applications.
- 2+ years' experience troubleshooting environments across the entire ecosystem (i.e. applications to infrastructure), identifying root cause, fixing, and documenting problems, and implementing preventive measures.
- 2+ years' experience with scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Python, Groovy).
- 2+ years' experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Prior experience in an SRE role or similar capacity with strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with automating manual tasks.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow, OS (Windows/Unix), scripting(powershell/shell-script), DBs (SQL/Oracle), deployment tools (UCD/Harness), load-balancing solutions (AVI/AG/F5), network communications, cloud systems (PCF, OCP, Azure, GCP) and other technologies such as Tomcat/Kafka/MQ/FTP/NDM.
Responsibilities
- Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
- Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
- Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
- Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
- Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
