Lab49 is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead and shape research initiatives in cryptocurrency and foreign exchange (FX). This role combines deep domain expertise with strong data analytics capability, enabling you to bridge business questions with data-driven insights.

Requirements

  • Strong domain knowledge in cryptocurrency and FX markets.
  • Background in data analytics, with working knowledge of SQL, Python, or BI tools for exploratory analysis and validation.
  • Experience collaborating on data science and research projects, with the ability to bridge business context and technical execution.
  • Consulting or research background with experience in agile, iterative project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Data Engineers to ensure research data is sourced, transformed, and structured appropriately for analysis.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to frame hypotheses, define features, validate outputs, and interpret findings.
  • Drive the end-to-end research project lifecycle: from defining objectives and methods through to analysis, synthesis, and reporting.
  • Apply data analytics skills to support validation, exploratory analysis, and interpretation of research results.
  • Communicate complex research findings in clear, compelling ways to both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Identify future research opportunities given data and methodology learnings.

Other

  • Act as the domain SME in crypto and FX markets, advising on market structure, dynamics and behavior.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; able to engage both technical teams and senior business leaders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, including distilling complex research outputs for executive audiences.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a research-driven environment, is comfortable managing ambiguity, and can translate complex market dynamics into actionable hypotheses and results.
