Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to serve as the Deputy to the Chief Engineer, leading mission-critical engineering initiatives that power large-scale Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads and enterprise infrastructure.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience leading complex technical programs or systems engineering projects across AI, cloud, or data center environments.
- Proven ability to lead technical delivery teams through full lifecycle, design, implementation, and sustainment.
- Experience managing ATO/RMF accreditation efforts and maintaining ongoing security compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing Linux systems, Kubernetes, and core infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Networking, Storage).
- Strong background in risk management, resource planning, and technical delivery oversight for large-scale infrastructure programs.
- Possess a current IAM Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CAP, CASP) per DoD 8570 IAT requirements.
- Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics, DynaTrace).
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for the design, deployment, and sustainment of secure, scalable infrastructure supporting AI and hybrid cloud environments.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and security teams to deliver Datacenter-as-a-Service (DCaaS) solutions while ensuring compliance with DoD and IC standards.
- Lead large-scale technical projects from planning through delivery, managing scope, schedule, risk, and change in Agile or hybrid environments.
- Support Authorization to Operate (ATO) activities, troubleshoot complex system issues, and drive optimization through automation and monitoring tools.
- Act as a technical deputy to the Chief Engineer, mentoring technical staff, fostering collaboration, and promoting continuous improvement across engineering initiatives.

- Must possess an active Department of Defense (DoD) TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience interfacing across engineering, operations, program management, and executive teams.
- Ability to travel up to 20–25% for on-site technical support, installations, and team collaboration.
