Squarespace is looking for a Senior Technical Writer to improve the Developer Experience by defining and delivering transformative developer-facing documentation projects.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a technical writer with a developer audience
- Experience delivering projects with a high level of technical complexity and broad scale
- Exemplary ability to write and converse in English
- Work as a peer to software engineers, using the same tools and development methodologies, including docs as code
- Curious, learning new technical concepts and software products quickly
- Turn complex ideas in logical steps appropriate to the audience
Responsibilities
- Create clear, accurate, consumable technical content including API documentation and developer guides for a software engineering audience
- Collaborate with software engineers and leaders, performing independent research to inform your work
- Coach teams on documentation workflows and technical writing best practices
- Realise improvements to our practices and to our developer experience
- Begin leading 2-3 documentation projects, contributing content, and identifying future deliverables
- Work as a peer to software engineers, using the same tools and development methodologies, including docs as code
- Learn new technical concepts and software products quickly
