Assist in the development of Strategic Weapons System (SWS) test procedures and supporting documentation for the all new Columbia/Dreadnought class of ship, ensuring all coordinated requirements of the new weapon system have been met during construction.
Requirements
- Ability to read system diagrams and similar engineering drawings
- 4+ years experience with submarine test programs and interface controls
- Electrical/mechanical testing experience
- System level engineering capabilities
- Working knowledge of the SWS / AWS, associated support systems and equipment arrangements
- Teamcenter skills
Responsibilities
- Development includes creation and review of procedures supporting multiple facilities.
- Execution includes deckplate support, troubleshooting, providing engineering support, as well as corrections back to the development team.
- Specific technical areas include: Weapons Power, Missile Gas, Missile Heating and Cooling, Missile Tube, Navigation, Hovering and Missile Compensation, as well as supporting components such as fiber and copper cable testing, standard maintenance procedures, and ventilation management.
- Coordination with design, engineering and tech pubs and provide technical direction for the update and maintenance of SSBN / SSGN including SHIPALT development.
- support for resolution of SWSS / AWSS Trouble Failure Reports (TFRs), Trouble Casualty Reports (TCRs), Liaison Action Requests (LARs), TDENTs etc.

- Work travel is periodically required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to effectively work with multiple technical organizations, program offices both within EB and with Navy personnel
- Associates degree or higher in a technical field
- Leadership experience
