Emerson is looking for innovative individuals to join their cross-functional agile teams responsible for the development of the DeltaV Process Control System, a state-of-the-art system used by top companies in chemical, life sciences, and energy industries. The role aims to enhance the quality and functionality of this system through testing and automation.
Requirements
- Experience testing embedded software products
- Experience designing and developing test cases from a user perspective
- Experience with Automation Test Frameworks and GIT
- Experience developing C, C++ and/or C software applications
- Knowledge and experience working in the process control industry
- Experience testing real-time embedded firmware and applications
- Experience in software testing and test automation
Responsibilities
- Write software tests in accordance with requirements and specifications and use best practices to build in high-quality.
- Help debug and validate software issues on the latest and greatest unreleased products as well as those encountered by customers.
- Write automated integration tests and system level tests to continue building our automation pipeline and a release-ready product.
- Develop technologies to maintain our market leadership using the latest tools and frameworks.
- Collaborate – Foster a creative atmosphere, review and provide detailed feedback on peers’ test plans and test designs and participate in agile activities like sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Take part in Hackathons, Tech-talks, and Communities of Practice with like-minded people.
- Help the scrum team continuously improve its environment and processes.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Chemical Engineering or related engineering degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or a master’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Chemical Engineering or related engineering degree and 4+ years of relevant experience
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Experience working in an Agile Scrum Team
