The University of Arizona is looking to solve the problem of creating engaging, technology-enhanced learning experiences that align with institutional goals, and ensuring seamless creation and administration of learning through the university’s enterprise learning management system.

Requirements

  • Proficient in adult learning principles (ADDIE, SAM), curriculum design, and knowledge transfer techniques.
  • Strong ability to work with SMEs, trainers, and business leaders to create relevant learning content.
  • 5 years experience creating training materials and courses with advanced levels of proficiency in Articulate 360 or Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
  • 5 years experience using Learning Management System platforms like Saba, Cornerstone, SAP SuccessFactors, or Docebo.
  • 5 years experiencing conducting learning and development consulting with clients.
  • Experience managing a multitude of training programs for various audiences across a decentralized organization.
  • Experience with gathering requirements from stakeholders to create and innovate multiple concurrent medium to large learning projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engaging learning experiences including large-scale training initiatives and complex builds often requiring significant technique, innovation and creativity, or new development approaches including instructor-led (ILT), virtual (VILT, e-learning,, and blended learning programs.
  • Utilize instructional design models and authoring tools to create effective learning experiences.
  • Develop interactive multimedia content, including videos, simulations, gamification, and microlearning assets.
  • Manage course packaging (SCORM) and uploads, learning materials, and assessment tools, ensuring proper version control and organization.
  • Use authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia) and other learning technology and tools like AI.
  • Ensure content meets University and accessibility standards across platforms.
  • Acts as a lead learning administrator for the Learning Management System, ensuring optimal performance, processes, and best practices are in application.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines, maintain a strong attention to detail, and work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced organization.
  • Growth mindset and constructive curiosity approach of tackling new opportunities, challenges, and developing solutions and new business processes.
  • Agility and adaptability in attuning to the changing needs of the software, stakeholders, and University priorities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
