I2X Technologies is seeking a Senior User Experience Specialist to support their customer's operations in Washington, DC, by providing IT Staffing and Consulting services to improve digital product accessibility and user experience for the Federal Government.
Requirements
- Performing user experience, accessibility, and front-end development functions.
- Assessing digital content for compliance with Section 508, WCAG, and other accessibility standards.
- Evaluating software and technologies to ensure alignment with accessibility requirements and proposing process improvements.
- Handling inquiries and providing expert guidance on accessibility concerns and assistive technologies.
- Leading efforts to implement accessibility-focused policies, procedures, and remediation strategies across digital systems.
- Planning and conducting user research to identify user needs, behaviors, and barriers to usability and accessibility.
- Developing information architecture and incorporating accessibility principles into system design and UX workflows.
Responsibilities
- Assess content, technologies, and digital products for accessibility compliance and provide remediation support as needed.
- Convert non-compliant electronic documents into accessible formats and create templates to streamline future conversions.
- Propose and implement Section 508 remediation processes to improve document and digital accessibility workflows.
- Develop and execute project plans to integrate accessibility requirements into strategic and budgetary initiatives.
- Evaluate and test web applications, software, and IT systems for Section 508 conformance, using ACRs and manual/automated testing tools.
- Conduct user research, analyze findings, and present recommendations that prioritize usability and accessibility.
- Create and oversee mockups, wireframes, prototypes, and interface designs that reflect user needs and accessibility standards.
