Requirements
- Knowledge about a variety of research methods
- Comfortable with both qualitative and quantitative methodology
- Experience using software vendors like Qualtrics
- Database analysis with SQL
- Conduct statistical analyses in SPSS, R or Python
- Experience with international research vendors
- 3+ years of professional career experience as a UX or product researcher
Responsibilities
- Conduct generative and evaluative research centered around the Safety experience across Roblox
- Conduct user research focused on ensuring users and developers can play and create in a safe and civil environment
- Manage end-to-end research projects with an ability to translate abstract ideas into viable product feature recommendations
- Conduct foundational research to understand and improve the safety and security of millions of players
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders in Design, Product, Engineering, Policy, Legal, and Civility to facilitate research discussions, and give concise feedback to inform feature roadmaps and product vision
- Work in close collaboration with the XFN to evolve research processes and foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and innovation
- Present research work to Product Group leadership
Other
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in HCI, psychology, marketing research, sociology, anthropology, or other social science discipline with an emphasis on research, or equivalent work experience
- Collaborative team-member, sharing work early and often, and encouraging peers and managers to provide constructive feedback
- Systems thinker, who advocates for holistic and connected user experiences
- Problem solver, who has a tuned thought process that ensures research will adequately answer questions and even challenge if the questions being asked are the right ones
