GDIT is seeking a Senior Developer Lead to work alongside federal civilian agencies and make an impact by providing services that help the government ensure the well-being of U.S. citizens.
Requirements
- Experience with Java/Spring Boot microservices, Kafka, JPA, REST, Junit and Helm/Kubernetes.
- Experience with Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment using DevSecOps principles and tools.
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
- Experience with UX Design, including a deep understanding of UX Design Thinking and Principles.
- Experience with dynamic form building, with a strong background and extensive practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for Java coding, architecture/design, quality goals, partnering with product owners to define actionable requirements, prototyping, driving engineering excellence, planning, estimating, and on-time delivery.
- Develop responsive web applications ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement designs into functional user interfaces, adhering to best practices and design principles.
- Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency in cloud environments.
- Ensure adherence to security and compliance best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews to junior developers.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, UI/UX Design or relevant computer-based major or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in developing IT solutions and cloud infrastructures.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
- U.S. residency requirement, with certain restrictions on time spent outside the U.S. in the last 3-5 years.
- Less than 10% travel required
