Microsoft SharePoint is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to drive human-centered strategy, set product direction, and integrate insights about human behaviors, attitudes, practices, and norms into ongoing product development, specifically re-imagining SharePoint intranet experiences in the era of AI.
Requirements
- Skilled in both qualitative and quantitative methods and have end-to-end experience with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting).
- Experience collaborating with design, product management, data science, marketing, and engineering teams around the company and globe, leveraging partnerships for diverse perspective on our products.
- Experience learning and understanding about diverse audiences, their behaviors, context(s) and motivations – across all phases of the customer lifecycle and user journey.
- 3+ years relevant domain experience within technology sector.
- 3+ years experience in research methods impacting both product direction and detailed experience design.
- Hands-on research and/or product planning experience, with demonstrated skill in collecting and analyzing human behavioral data to improve plans and UX in a technology industry setting.
- A high-quality portfolio review presentation is required to interview for this role. Your presentation should demonstrate your strategic research experience, rationale for methodologies chosen, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Leverage your skills in evaluative and generative research to help re-imagine SharePoint intranet experiences in the era of AI.
- Work closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, Engineering, Data Science, and Engineering to ensure we address the most critical user needs and opportunities.
- Drive research and UX practices that ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion in our product making decisions.
- Build and execute impactful research plans that provide broad market views and deep customer insights needed to inform the product making process.
- Derive insights from quantitative and qualitative data, complementing other research that you will conduct on your own or in partnership with other researchers and stakeholders.
- Continuously inform an engineering roadmap using customer data (qualitative and quantitative).
- Perform ongoing UX Health studies to evaluate if design-built experiences are at the appropriate level for release to engineering.
