Pershing LLC seeks to solve its business and technical problems in application development and implementation process by hiring a Senior Vice President, Application Development Manager
Requirements
- Utilizing Investor Communication products that include Confirmations, Statements, and Tax Documents for Retail and Institutional Investors
- Performing trust accounting using GlobalPlus integration and processing
- Simplifying software container orchestration within the architecture using Kubernetes
- Using Opentext’s Extreme product to compose documents in IBM’s Advanced Function Presentation (AFP)
- Designing, deploying, and troubleshooting complex documents including brokerage statements on both Exstream mainframe and cloud platform
- Performing Agile Development as well as implementations in COBOL/CICS and enterprise development in Python, JAVA, and Angular framework to integrate with various vendor and third-party products
- Deploying and troubleshooting a stand-alone application
Responsibilities
- Perform all phases of the systems development and implementation process
- Provide analysis, design, development, testing and ongoing support for the client area application systems
- Analyze organizational needs for application development and interface with clients to ensure systems are developed that meet their business requirements
- Perform applications programming and analysis projects which include development, installation and maintenance of application programs
- Ensure the availability, integrity and stability of production systems by identifying appropriate resources to manage all systems and having a process in place to respond quickly to problems
- Communicate and endorse strict adherence to development and quality standards and monitors adherence on an on-going basis
- Act as an advocate for change management, encourages innovation and creativity in technology solutions
Other
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field
- Ten (10) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related IT occupation in the financial services industry
- Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite
- At-will position with the Company reserving the right to modify base salary at any time
- Base salary determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location
