BNY is seeking a Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to join their Deposits Enablement team within the Liquidity and Financing platform to make an impact in designing, developing, and optimizing distributed full-stack applications

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in Java and/or Python, microservices, RESTful APIs, concurrency, and scalable architectures
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue) and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Proficiency in relational, cloud-based, and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, DB2, Snowflake)
  • Proven ability to implement and scale SDLC best practices (CI/CD, automated testing, security scanning)
  • At least 10 years of hands-on full-stack development experience, including leadership of large-scale, distributed systems
  • Experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize distributed full-stack applications using Java, Python, modern databases (SQL/NoSQL), and front-end frameworks (Angular/JavaScript)
  • Lead end-to-end delivery: translate business requirements into technical solutions, manage agile development cycles, enable QA automation, and oversee deployment and monitoring
  • Champion SDLC best practices, including CI/CD automation, shift-left testing, code reviews, security-as-code, and compliance checks
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with senior engineering and product leaders to align technical strategy, refine roadmaps, and drive platform modernization
  • Evaluate and pilot emerging tools and AI-driven development technologies to enhance efficiency, developer experience, and system reliability

Other

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline; advanced degree or certifications are a plus
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams and aligning technical delivery with business objectives
  • Strong mentoring skills and a passion for developing engineering talent
  • 10-14 years of experience in software development required
