The Nuclear Company is looking to solve the problem of inefficient and unsafe nuclear construction and monitoring by leveraging advanced computer vision and AI-powered visual systems.
Requirements
- Expert proficiency in computer vision libraries (OpenCV, scikit-image, PIL/Pillow)
- Strong knowledge of deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras)
- Experience with CNNs, vision transformers, and modern architectures (ResNet, YOLO, Mask R-CNN, ViT)
- Experience with computer vision and machine learning for robotic perception
- Knowledge of computer vision and automated image analysis techniques
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or similar languages
- Experience with real-time video processing and streaming analytics
Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI-powered computer vision systems for automated construction progress monitoring, comparing current site images to BIM models to determine completion percentages
- Create computer vision algorithms for anomaly detection, defect identification, and automated image analysis from drone and camera feeds
- Build convolutional neural network-based detection systems for automated identification and classification
- Design detection pipelines that process video streams from multiple cameras simultaneously
- Implement worker tracking systems using camera-based detection for safety monitoring and emergency response
- Develop vision systems for safety compliance monitoring including PPE detection, restricted area monitoring, and hazard identification
- Develop computer vision systems for robotic perception and autonomous navigation
Other
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
- 7+ years of experience in computer vision, machine learning, or AI development
- 3+ years in a senior or lead developer role with demonstrated technical contributions
- Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to debug complex vision systems
