Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to support the Sentinel program in Huntsville, AL. The role involves designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging applications software and systems.
Requirements
- Experience with developing web architecture
- Experienced with Typescript, React, or other web application languages and frameworks.
- Familiarity with Full Stack application development including API design
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
- Proficient with DOORS, and Cameo with the ability to write and decompose system requirements
- Experience as a Scrum Master or Product Owner within an Agile development process.
- Experience designing software using UML in Cameo
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
- Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
- Ensures software standards are met.
- Experience with developing web architecture

- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
