Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Systems Test Engineer / Sr Principal Systems Test Engineer to support the Sentinel program, which requires maintaining smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, integrating IP based devices into networks architecture, and executing root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and system issues.
Requirements
- 3 years of hands on engineering or administration experience for Cisco/Juniper networks, RHEL, or Windows OS
- 3 years of experience leading, planning and executing hardware/software product integration, documenting discrepancies, and analyzing mission performance.
- 2 years of experience utilizing sensors, telemetry, data logging systems, and real time monitoring tools.
- 3 years of experience integrating COTS, GOTS and custom software in a security constrained environment
- 3 years of experience working with lab environments/processes (Foreign Object Elimination, Electro-Static Discharge, Configuration Management)
- Current DoD 8570” IAT Level II Certification (such as CompTIA Security+ CE)
- Understanding of basic networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs
Responsibilities
- Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management
- Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management
- Integration of IP based devices into networks architecture. Will also support configuration, troubleshooting of devices / network
- Work within and across teams to support and coordinate daily integration activities
- Execute root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and system issues
- Coordinate integrated testing activities.
- Oversee test activities in support or requirement verification and validation.
Other
- Bachelors in Science with 5 years of experience, Masters with 3 years of experience or PhD with 1 year of experience. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
