Northrop Grumman is seeking a Program Certification and Airworthiness Thread Systems Engineering Manager 2 to lead Program Certification and Airworthiness efforts, guide and oversee the evolution of the Sentinel Program Certification process and plans, and manage the development and execution of the MMIII and Sentinel Secondary Launch Capability (SLC) and Launch Platform-Airborne (SLP-A) Airworthiness efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline
- Experience managing people preferred
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
- 1+ years of Program and/or Project management experience, managing multidisciplinary teams through complex engineering problems
- 1+ years of experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) and/or Work Package Lead (WPL)
- 1+ years of experience leading Multi-Disciplinary Engineering (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and working in Cross-Functional Team including DOD Customers (USAF/USN)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices
Responsibilities
- Lead Program Certification and Airworthiness efforts
- Guide and oversee the evolution of the Sentinel Program Certification process and plans
- Manage the development and execution of the MMIII and Sentinel Secondary Launch Capability (SLC) and Launch Platform-Airborne (SLP-A) Airworthiness efforts
- Support the SLP-A Program Management Team by ensuring Systems Engineering activities/needs/concerns are coordinated and addressed
- Enable mission focused technical changes and updates as iteration occurs
- Establish key initiatives in support of the organization’s strategic and tactical plans
- Partner with engineering and program management peers to assure a balanced and efficient assignment of resources to support and achieve key mission priorities

- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years of related experience
- Experience managing people preferred
