Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Software Engineer to support the Sentinel program, requiring a motivated software developer to develop and design device drivers in a RTOS environment.
Requirements
- Proficient in C, C++ or Assembly
- Thorough understanding of Operating Systems such as VxWorks and Linux.
- A solid understanding in hardware architecture, Hardware Registers, Busses, Interrupts, Device Communication, and Protocols like PCI, SPI, I2C, UARTS, SERDES,
- Experience in CPU configuration, Cache Configuration, Flash, Memory map configuration, PCI tree static configuration
- Embedded Controller experience like Arduino and DSP
- Proficient in Embedded Linux Development.
- Hands-on experience working with a Real Time Operating System (RTOS)
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
- Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
- Perform work without appreciable direction.
- Developing and designing device drivers in a RTOS environment.
- See out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Identifying COTS candidates.
- Back-end programming.

- US Citizenship with Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
- Sr. Principal Engineer Software: 8 Years with Bachelor’s in related field of study, 6 Years with Masters, 4 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
