Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Cyber Software Engineer to develop software for the Command & Launch (C&L) Software Team, supporting the Sentinel program, and to optimize systems and services for security, automation, and performance/availability.
Requirements
- DOD 8570 IAT Level II (Security + or higher)
- Windows server management experience
- Network and Cyber Requirements Systems Engineering
- Strong Network Engineering background
- Experience implementing government cyber security requirements, such as STIGs and RMF
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards
- Develop new applications based on professional principles and theories
- Analyzes and develops innovative solutions to complex problems
- Optimizes systems and services for security, automation, and performance/availability
- Ensures solutions developed adhere and align to the baseline systems designs, configuration management, and architecture standards
- Works closely in a DevOps environment with the program personnel to ensure smooth execution of continuous integration and test
- Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness

- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time
- Staff Cyber Systems Engineer: 12 Years with Bachelor’s in relevant field of study, 10 Years with Masters, 08 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree
- Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
