Collins Aerospace is looking to develop next generation optical test methodology for transparent displays and enhanced vision systems, and is seeking an intern to support this project through test station design, software controls, and image processing.
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline
- Enrolled in an Optical Engineering or other relevant optical engineering or applied optical physics degree program
- Experience with optics lab testing
- Experience with MATLAB
Responsibilities
- Test station design and software development to angularly calibrate cameras and photometers
- Assemble and test an optical testbench
- Work on a collaborative team with a partner intern, mentors and other engineers
- Prepare and present project efforts to a larger audience of engineers
- Present at an internal Collins Aerospace Technology Fair
- Camera and theodolite calibration
- Optical tolerance analysis
