Fairview is looking for a Service and Product Assistant to manage inventory, equipment, and supplies for the University of Minnesota Medical Center, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance to support patient care.
Requirements
- 6 months comparable materials or related experience and/or extensive knowledge of medical hardware/software and medical supplies through formal education channels
- Independent use of computers including data entry
Responsibilities
- Maintains adequate inventory levels of equipment, linen, and supplies.
- Calculates par levels and recommends adjustments
- Alerts Inventory Specialist to variances, stock-outs, defects, etc.
- Accounts excess inventory, documents and properly routes
- Routinely performs cycle counts to identify inventory adjustments and expired product
- Removes recalled, changed or expired products as instructed
- Operates computer for supply and equipment requests as well as equipment tracking, productivity reporting, etc.
Other
- This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours every two weeks) and we believe the hours for this position will be every Wednesday - Sunday 2:00pm - 10:30pm.
- This position will require that you are able to work every weekend and is a member of the AFSCME union.
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- 1 year experience
- Speaks English proficiently
