The company needs to ensure efficient and high-quality production by programming CNC machines, setting up complex operations, and training operators. This role is crucial for maintaining production quality and potentially developing new processes.
Requirements
- Programming CNC mill/lathe via Mastercam and/or directly at the machine.
- Complex set-ups, machine set-up and maintenance.
- Using calipers, dial bore gages, micrometers, etc.
- Develop and machine fixtures with or without prints.
- Proper machine operation and safety.
- Change tools and offsets.
- Develop machine process and tool selection.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for programming CNC mill/lathe via Mastercam and/or directly at the machine.
- Accountable for complex set-ups, machine set-up and maintenance.
- Able to control product quality during production runs using calipers, dial bore gages, micrometers, etc.
- Measures and works with tight tolerance in accordance with control plan, CAD models and blueprints.
- Must be able to develop and machine fixtures with or without prints.
- Must be able to change tools and offsets.
- Must be able to develop machine process and tool selection.
Other
- Minimum of 15 years experience in a machine shop environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be a good team player.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- The employee is regularly required to sit, talk and/or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and be able to stand for long periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision.
