Responsibilities
- Provide full time SharePoint/Web services, Microsoft 365 and application (e.g. SalesForce, ServiceNow) development subject matter experts to manage aspects of BUMED operational SharePoint/Microsoft 365/application environment, including site collection, design, development, testing, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring, and security of the portal.
- Develop, configure, customize and maintain BUMED HQ SharePoint/Web and Microsoft 365 and other applications, pages, sites, list, forms and workflows based on BUMED stakeholder business needs and opportunities and propose changes that would make the SharePoint environment and web applications a more effective solution.
- Ensure any ITACS development complies with Defense Health Agency SharePoint environment requirements before, during and after deployment.
- Participate in planning and execution of tasks related to the evolution and evaluation of new SharePoint based initiatives with recommendations provided to BUMED ITACS for approval. To include managing, provisioning, and hosting sites on the Navy/Defense Health Agency (DHA) cloud infrastructure (OBIWAN, Microsoft SharePoint Online (SPO)).
- Work with project proponents and end users to design and develop solutions to address business needs and opportunities and propose changes that would make the SharePoint/application environment a more effective solution.
- Examine requirement documents and create technical design documents, unit tests, system tests and implementation plan for all approved projects.
- Maintain current industry knowledge of development concepts, best practices and procedures for SharePoint development using the latest and greatest technologies, features and platforms (SharePoint Framework, SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, etc.)
Other
- 4+ years of experience with Help Desk Support
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
- Associate’s degree or significant relevant experience in excess of 4 years required.
- Active Secret Clearance
- All source code developed by contractor will be considered property of BUMED and must be available on BUMED government IT systems.
