Lockheed Martin Space's Silicon Solutions team is building the best SOC team in the world and is seeking a leader to manage a team of signal processing engineers, overseeing the implementation of complex algorithms into embedded processors.
Requirements
- Experience in design, debug and/or verification of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Algorithms
- Experience in leading or managing DSP projects
- Experience implementing DSP algorithms (both optical and RF) in microelectronics devices through programmable logic or math hard macros within ASIC, FPGA, SOC/Versal/Polarfire devices.
- Signal chain modelling using MATLAB and / or C (filtering, FFT, IFFT, ADC/DAC)
- Experience designing & validating signal processing applications such as SAR, ESA, beamforming and general communications and electronic warfare.
- System design experience and/or understanding of system use cases, CONOPs , architecture and requirements related to space.
- Microsoft Project or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the people manager of a team of ~10 signal processing engineers, overseeing the implementation of complex algorithms into embedded processors and hard macros; and which may be modeled in MATLAB or C++.
- Manage several projects at one time, being able to effectively delegate both technical and project responsibilities within your team to manage the load.
- Be responsible for managing to completion all assigned projects to within +/- 10% of schedule and budget, leveraging either or both Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate
- Be familiar with Project Planning and Earned Value Measurement System (EVMS) to communicate effectively with program's / customer's Control Accounts Manager (CAM).
- Capture and negotiate project/program scope, requirements and budgets.
- Write proposals with business and technical content and summarize it in customer / program presentations.
- Manage subcontractor relationships and contracts for Silicon Solutions.

- Act as managerial point of contact for multiple programs.
- Actively develop and manage customer / program relationships, establishing your role as a 'trusted advisor' and communicating tactfully and effectively with customers / programs.
