Leidos is seeking a Simulation Software Engineering Team Lead to support the simulation and analysis of missile defense ground-based radars for the defense of the nation.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess significant proficiency with the software languages C/C++ and Java, which are the primary languages used.
- Candidates should have significant experience with issue tracking tools and Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines.
- Candidates with significant experience with the GitLab environment and Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines are preferred.
- Candidates with integrated system simulation software experience are highly preferred.
- Candidates with experience in high-performance multithreaded software are highly preferred.
- Candidates with experience in modeling & simulation software are preferred.
Responsibilities
- In this role you will function as a team lead for an established team of software developers and interface daily with a diverse team of software developers and systems and radar engineers.
- The software development efforts include updating and modernizing an existing simulation model framework and set of radar models to incorporate updates to the simulation in line with tactical system capabilities.
- Working daily on-site at customer facilities on a multi-contractor team and interacting regularly with industry partners and the government customer, the candidate will be expected to represent Leidos technically, professionally, and ethically.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering, or a related STEM discipline, and a minimum of 12 -15 years of experience in computer science or software development.
- Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
- Candidate must possess and be able to maintain a SECRET clearance.
- Highly organized, candidates that can clearly detail and document tasking to the team are preferred.
- Advanced degrees in Computer Science and Computer Engineering disciplines are also strongly encouraged to apply and may be considered in lieu of experience.
