Lockheed Martin's Ground Missile Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) needs to process data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize inbound ballistic missile threats, plan defensive solutions, and launch intercepting missiles to negate threats. The selected engineer will contribute to modernizing these efforts through model framework development, tactical to model conversion, application development, and code translation.
Requirements
- Experience in Model Development
- Demonstrated experience with C++
- Experience with at least one of the following programming or scripting languages: C, GoLang, Ada, and/or Python
- Experience with two or more of the following tools: Jira, Crucible, Bitbucket, Subversion, Bamboo, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Fortify, or Coverity
- Strong understanding of C and C++ languages including templates, memory storage, and compiler/linker
- Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - software design requirements, application development, integration, testing, and deployment
- Experience with SQL Database or JSON Database

Other
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM related discipline from an accredited university with minimum of 2 years' software development experience
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher
- Ability to collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers and integration/test engineers to develop and maintain complex software systems
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
