- Product Parts Approval Process (PPAP) documentation submittal knowledge
- Lean manufacturing knowledge
- 7 step problem solving knowledge
- Intelligent Quality Tools and Methods (IQTM) knowledge
- Six-sigma process knowledge
Responsibilities
- Manages and may lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of subsets or all aspects of the plant quality system.
- Establishes and maintains quality assurance expectations, methods, and approaches for the site.
- Manages the plant quality team and plant operational goal tree objectives in alignment with the Cummins Operating System.
- Participates in the development and leads the quality function achievement of the Annual Operating Plan for the site.
- Responsible for the quality of products produced and for work stoppage if a problem is discovered affecting the product.
- Determines quality project priorities and organizes resources to accomplish the work for the site.
- Monitors improvement teams to ensure that goals are achieved and reported
Other
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject or experience equivalent is required
- Demonstrated role competence is required
- Significant relevant work experience required, preferably 5-7 years’ experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Program Management role
- Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience preferred
- Customer focus and ability to build strong customer relationships
