Peraton is looking to solve the problem of managing software assets across USSOCOM's IT Enterprise, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, optimizing software usage, and mitigating risks.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software asset management, including tracking, auditing, and compliance.
- Proficiency in managing enterprise-wide software license agreements, maintenance plans, and vendor relationships.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting software usage trends and mitigating software-related risks.
- Experience with USSOCOM's IT systems and operational environments.
- Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) software licensing policies and procedures.
- Expertise in software license audits and reconciliation processes.
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage multiple data repositories and or mid-range application servers for tracking software licensing metadata and support agreements.
- Understands systems hosting complex operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces for computer systems.
- Track licenses, maintenance plans, renewal information, and media for software.
- Identify and report license compliance issues.
- Coordinates with software systems engineering or applications developers as necessary to correct errors.
- Perform periodic audits to reconcile licenses utilized with authorized licenses.
- Conduct periodic license reviews 120 days prior to the expiration of software license and maintenance agreements.

- Min 12 years with HS degree, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, or 3 years with a PhD
- DoD TS/SCI clearance
- Ability to recommend and implement process improvements to optimize software management.
- Advanced reporting and communication skills to provide visibility into asset management effectiveness.
